Petite Dresses for Fall: Rich Colors & Textures
For early fall petite dresses, think about colors like mustard yellow, red orange, olive green, denim blue, etc. Then mix them with neutral colors and rich textures.
Petite Dresses
Petite Studio Celina Dress (thrifted from Buffalo Exchange).
This is another awesome find at one of my favorite secondhand stores in Manhattan. Maybe an XS would have fit me better since the chest area is slightly snug. However, being a thrifted dress, I can't complain. It is also surprisingly still in stock. So if you are under 5'2'', you may want to check out Petite Studio which designs exclusively for petite women. I have tried on a few of their dresses, some tops and some pants during a pop up event in Brooklyn last year. I can wear their XXS or XS depending on the style.
I know how hard it can be to find sophisticated dresses that fit right on a petite frame. Even dresses that are marked as ''petite'' can still fit too long. After all, most brands design ''petite'' clothing for women at 5'3'' or 5'4'', which is still 3-4 inches taller than me. Because of that, when I find a midi or maxi length dress that fits me well, it always makes my day.
Belt Bag
I use the front zip pocket for my cards, and the front slip pocket for my metro card for quick access. I also wore the bag in this post.
Shoes
I love a good pair of blocky heels. In fact, I don't own any slim heels. I tried them multiples times - but never loved them enough to keep them. Even though I love how they look on other people, comfort always comes first for me.
I'm eyeing some blocky heels from Everlane. I love the look and the color choices:
